THE SPIRIT
OF ELIJAH – PART 1
This devotional teaching is
packed full of scripture, revelation, and understanding. It actually
reminds me of the videos I did on the Church of Smyrna called, “Remember Me”, and “Queen of the South”, both of which were also full
of scripture and revelation. I pray this teaching will be a blessing to
you, but most importantly that you will hear the heart of the Father
throughout, as well as what He is saying to us in this time. I also pray
that any of you who may read these writings or watch the videos will be
equipped and prepared for your assignments for the time to come, as this is the
purpose and focus of the Father. There is always the possibility that
some of us are being prepared for martyrdom for the Lord and His children. My
responsibility in teaching what I teach is enormous, but equally the
responsibility of those who read or watch this. I pray that you, with
all earnestness of spirit, will understand His ways and walk fully in step with
Him, not struggling unnecessarily in the time ahead.
We will be starting with Psalm
45, which was the foundation for the “Queen of the South” teaching that I did a while
back and have mentioned several times. I had basically dissected Psalm 45
and from this, I gained a full understanding of the identity of the Queen of
the South from Luke 11. In Luke’s discourse from chapter 11, Yeshua is
speaking of the evil generation to come, representing the one we are in now,
seeks a sign. He said no sign would be given to them except the sign of
Jonah. Then He mentions the Queen of the South rising up in judgment with
the men of Nineveh in judgment to condemn this wicked generation, who are
clearly identified in the last several verses of Romans 1. He said that
she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, saying that
He is that one who is greater than Solomon. There is a conjunction here
with King Solomon and Jonah the prophet, and so we have the king and the
prophet dynamic. In short, the Queen of the South is the Gentile
Bride. King Solomon is a type and shadow of Yeshua with His many wives,
representing the Gentile Bride(s) all over this world. He is the
Bridegroom with His wife during this time. Let us now read a bit of Psalm
45 and see even more revelation that Father has revealed.
PSALM 45
9 Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand
did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also
thine own people, and thy father's house;
11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and
worship thou him.
12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among
the people shall intreat thy favour.
13 The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought
gold.
14 She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins
her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.
15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into
the king's palace.
16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make
princes in all the earth.
17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore
shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.
The first part of Psalm 45 is a description of the
King, which is King David; however, in this case a reference to King Solomon
from Luke 11:31, or Yeshua most specifically. On the right hand of the
King is the Queen, and she is standing in gold of Ophir. The “right hand”
in the Strong’s also means “south”. Therefore, she is the Queen of the
South, and she is standing in gold of Ophir. This gold is a type and
shadow of faith that has been purified in the furnace and is more precious than
fine gold (1 Peter 1:7). In verse 10, the reference is to the Queen of
Sheba, or the Queen of the South, or the Gentile Bride, who has left everything
to go to Solomon (type and shadow of Yeshua) to receive wisdom. She has
left her father’s house and her family, which is the same as what Yeshua told
His disciples in Luke 14:26 when He said, “If any man come to me, and hate not
his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea,
and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple”. This is all about the
Bride who has left everything to stand on His right hand as the Queen of the
South.
The Daughter of Tyre in verse 12 is also a type and
shadow of the Queen on His right hand. In verse 14, her being in wrought
gold and raiment of needlework is talking about her spiritual disposition… who
she is in Christ. It means she has left all and forsaken all to follow
Him and stand on His right hand. Then there are the virgins who follow
her. We have the Queen, also known as the Daughter of Tyre and the Queen
of Sheba, who has virgins following her. In the same way in Luke 11,
Yeshua says that the Queen of the South will rise up with the men of
Nineveh. These men of Nineveh are the virgins following the Queen in
verse 14 of Psalm 45. In verse 16, there are children who will be made
princes, and what do princes do? They rule and reign, referencing the
millennial reign. These are children produced by the Queen and her
virgins.
In summary, we have the Queen of the South who will
rise up in judgment. Also considering my last devotional teaching, “Prophets
Amongst Us”, we see that the Smyrna church is a type and
shadow of Elijah, or John that Baptist, who Yeshua said was Elijah who had
come. We have Smyrna, John the Baptist, Elijah, and the Queen of the
South all talking about the same thing. Then we have the Queen, the
virgins, and the children. The Queen is at the right hand, which means
south, and she stands there. That word “stand” means to be “strong,
resolute, and to have power and authority”. Overall it means that she is
a pillar. This is very important, that she is a pillar. We find
that at Solomon’s temple on the porch, which means Galilee… think of the Sea of
Galilee, there were two pillars. These represent Christ, the King, and
His wife, the Bride. She is also a pillar beside Him, established and
strong. The virgins, the Queen’s daughters so to speak, are also
considered wives. This is just as Jacob had Leah and Rachel, whom each
had handmaidens as well. They were responsible for producing
children. The same is true of Solomon who had many wives where all,
whether a Queen, virgin, or concubine, represent those who are part of the
Gentile Bride of Christ… the Gentile church together with the Jewish
Bride. The Queen also represents New Jerusalem. Let’s go to
Galatians 4 where we get understanding of this.
GALATIANS 4
26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth
and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children
than she which hath an husband.
28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
Remember that the Queen has virgins, and they are
her children as well, and then they produce children also. Together they
form the wife. In a recent word that Father gave me that was made into a
video called “Bring My Little Ones Home”, this is what He is saying to the
Bride as she is concerned about the children of her Husband. Just as in
verses 27 and 28, we have the mother with her children producing children.
In all, we have the mother, or the Queen, and the virgins, who are His
wives. There is a clear difference between the Queen and her virgins,
although they form the Bride together. In Revelation 21, we get
understanding of this.
REVELATION
21
2 And I John saw the holy city,
new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned
for her husband.
9 And there
came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the
seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee
the bride, the Lamb's wife.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and
shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from
God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most
precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 And had a wall great and high,
and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written
thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three
gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names
of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and
the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the
breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The
length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits,
according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18 And the building of the wall of
it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
We can see here the mother, the New Jerusalem, as a
womb, with her children, the 12 tribes. This includes the gatekeepers
there at the gates. My understanding is that at the gates, you will find
the elders, and they were there to teach. This is shown by wisdom crying
at the gates at the entry to the city in Proverbs 8:3. This is a
representation of the elders who have wisdom from the 12 tribes, who will be
there during the millennial reign. This is connected to Yeshua telling
His disciples in Matthew 28 to go and teach (not preach) all
nations. Matthew is a shadow of the last part of the tribulation before
the millennial reign. Ezekiel 44:23 also speaks of the priests who will
teach the people the difference between the holy and profane and the clean and
the unclean. These are of the 12 tribes and they are the gatekeepers, who
are part of the children. With regard to verse 14, remember the Word says
that the church is built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets.
This means that everything that happened before John the Baptist is what the
church was built on. We also know that everything that was, shall be
again, so the apostles and prophets will be sent out again. They will
build on the same foundation again. We know that a house cannot stand
without a foundation, so the foundation is critical to the rest of the
house. These apostles and prophets are the other children.
With regard to verse 16 and the measurements of the
city, we see that it is a perfect square. We know the enemy has his own
version of the black rock or the black square called Saturn. The New
Jerusalem is a square, which obviously the enemy has copied. We know he
has no originality about him, so he copies everything and defiles it. In
verse 17, we have 144 cubits representing the 144,000, and these are even more
children. Overall, these verses in Revelation 21 describe the Lamb’s wife
with her virgins and their children, which is considered the mother of all, the
New Jerusalem, the Queen.
Getting back to Elijah now, we find that Elijah
confronted Ahab, who was a king and had a wife named Jezebel. I said
often in my devotional teaching, “Two
Johns and a Jezebel”, that this murderous antichrist spirit has been
rising but will be more so during the tribulation. Jezebel was also a
queen. In order to confront the antichrist Jezebel spirit that will be
rising up during the tribulation, we have to have an equal force against this
spirit. That is the spirit of Elijah, which is the only spirit that can
come against the spirit of Jezebel and cause her to be thrown to the
dogs. God is working that Elijah spirit in us in order to confront
her. That is what this devotional teaching is about. So what we
will have is the mother of harlots, as Jezebel is a reference, and we have the
mother of us all, the New Jerusalem, or the mother of virgins, rising at the
same time.
We have rising together:
- The “Queen of the South” with the “Queen of Heaven”;
- The “Mother of Virgins or all” with the “Mother of Harlots”.
The Father must work that spirit of Elijah within
us. The question is, what kind of spirit did Elijah have? We can go
to the Baal showdown in 1 Kings 17 where he confronted Ahab and told him
exactly what he needed to do. He told him to get all 300 of the Baal
prophets/teachers who sit at Jezebel’s table and eat of her false doctrine,
lies, and deception and bring them to Carmel, saying, “Let the God who answers
with fire be God.” For Elijah to have been able to say that, he had to
know without any doubt who God is, that He is indeed the God who answers with
fire. Remember that I said that the Queen at the right hand of the King
stands in gold of Ophir. That means that she has been set apart and
burned up by the fire of God’s judgment over her own life so that she may be
able to stand in purity… pure gold which is pure faith. That is why she’s
standing resolute, because she’s gone through the fire. The same is true
with Elijah. He said to Ahab, “… As sure as the Lord God of Israel
liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but
according to my word.” (1 Kings 17:1) Elijah was in such a place with God
that he stood alone before God. He was able to say this because he had
such great union with his God that when he spoke, it was God’s words that were
spoken through him with great authority. He said that according to his
word, it shall be done, and God would perform that word through him. That
is the type of spirit Elijah had in him; he truly knew God. He knew God,
because He knew Him as the God who answers with fire. And God did answer
with fire.
We find that the Elijahs, these prophets, will be
sent forth, and they will be brought before kings. Some examples are Paul
who was brought before Caesar, Moses who was brought before Pharaoh, and Joseph
who was brought before Pharaoh. Then there’s Nehemiah who was a cupbearer
for the king and was able to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem because of his
favor before the king. Also Ebed-melech, who was a eunuch and had the
king’s ear, was able to help Jeremiah out of the pit. There are various
examples, but the most important one, apart from John the Baptist who went
before Herod, was Yeshua who went before Pilate and Herod, who was the same
Herod who beheaded John the Baptist. John the Baptist, who was as Elijah
as Yeshua said, confronted Herod, just as Elijah did with Ahab, about his
adulterous relationship with his brother’s wife. That same woman demanded
the head of John the Baptist. This is a type and shadow of King Ahab and
Jezebel, who are a type and shadow of the antichrist and the false
prophet. Remember in the book of Revelation that Jezebel is said to be a
false prophetess with the wrong doctrine that she was teaching. We find
that Herod is a type and shadow of the antichrist ruling, because he was a
king. His wife, as Jezebel, was a type and shadow of the false
prophet. The timing of this when this same persecution will take place in
the future is mid-seals. This is when the Elijah group will find
themselves in the midst of having to come against those in authority. We
will be sent to the lost, to the church, and to those who are in authority,
just as Yeshua told us in Mark’s discourse in chapter 13.
MARK 13
9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils;
and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers
and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought
beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall
be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the
Holy Ghost.
12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the
son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to
be put to death.
13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall
endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel
the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,)
then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
In verse 10, “all nations'' is a reference to the
Gentile nations. The time of the Gentiles must come to fulfillment.
In Romans 16, Paul is sending greetings to Priscilla and Aquila, who are part
of the Smyrna group – the overcoming eagles – and he says they lay their necks
down for him. Paul is a type and shadow of Christ for whom they are
willing to lay their necks on the line, but note, also for the churches.
Thinking in an eschatological view, the church of Smyrna – the overcoming
eagles – are those workers who will lay their lives down for the churches.
Which churches? Those mentioned in the book of Revelation. They
will go from church to church and lay down their lives for their
children. When they go to the churches, they are going to their
children. Paul says that he is in travail over his children, that Christ
may be formed in them. Overall, this is speaking of those apostles and
prophets, who are overcoming eagles, being sent to the lost and to the churches
to minister to them. This is because wolves will come into the flock.
A reference to this is in John 10 when Yeshua talks about the hirelings and the
shepherds and how the sheep know the voice of the Shepherd and will not follow
another. This is a reference to the wolves that will come in during that
time. The apostles and prophets, the Smyrna group, are sent to the
churches to protect the children. When wolves come in, sheep cannot
protect themselves. What does this tell you about the disposition of the
apostles and prophets who have to go in? What kind of spirit needs to be
in them to address these wolves that are like Jezebel… murderous, envious,
jealous, and wicked? These are the lying spirits that take captive the
sheep, the lambs of God. The disposition of the apostles and prophets has
to be fierce and unrelenting as well.
As we continue in Mark 13, beginning in verse 11,
we see that the Holy Spirit will guide every word that we will need to speak
when being brought before these authorities. In verse 12, it is our very
own family members who will be turning against us and even having us put to
death. The apostles and prophets who are sent out will be hated, because
that spirit of Jezebel will be working in the church. As He speaks of us
enduring till the end in verse 13, we see that we will go right through the end
of the tribulation. In verse 14 when He speaks of the abomination of
desolation standing where it ought not, He’s talking about the antichrist
“standing” in a place of authority, who is ruling and reigning at this
time.
We have another type and shadow here. When
Yeshua was crucified, the gospels of Mark, Matthew, and Luke all mention the
robe that He was wearing. When we look up the Strong’s meanings for the
appearance of this robe in each of these gospels, we find that they are
different colors. This is because these are different dispensations and
different audiences for these three gospels. In Luke, His robe is
described as a glorious white robe. In Mark, it is a purple robe.
In Matthew, it is a scarlet robe, thinking of the scarlet beast. With us
reading in Mark, we are talking about the worker Bride who is ministering to
the church in the “Mark period”. These are the different Gentile
churches, and she’s willing to lay her life down for them. The robe in
Mark’s gospel is purple.
In summary, we can see that Elijah was bold with
Ahab just as John the Baptist was bold with Herod, which as we know cost him
his head. The Queen of the South with the men of Nineveh, the Queen with
her virgins, will rise up in judgment and condemn this wicked generation.
I had two visions that I would like to mention
now.
VISION –
MAN WITH PEBBLES
I saw a man on ground level lying flat on his back. Suddenly I was
moved very close to his mouth where I could see tiny little white pebbles in
his wide-open mouth.
Interpretation:
He is lying on the ground, which is a place of humility … to be
low. In his mouth are small stones. When we read in the Word about
stoning, it is always about judgment. Stephen was the first martyr, and
he was stoned. In John 8 we read about the adulterous woman whom the
Pharisees wanted to stone. This was also done in the Old Testament.
Overall, this is about the judgment brought by the Bride.
I
was speaking to Father this morning about man who is so fickle and how people
can get so easily offended and hold things against another or take things
personally and even write people off. He often directs my thinking like
this to bring something across to me, so this is actually the Holy Spirit
bringing these thoughts that I am pondering. I had forgotten that I wrote
the vision down about the pebbles at this point, but I began to talk to Him
about how instead of us having weight to us, we are like little pebbles in a
river that just roll off (think of the “rolling stones”) when a current comes
in that we don’t like. This is in essence about the people forsaking the
cornerstone, which is what the “rolling stones” are actually about. These
little pebbles decide they don’t like the current, and they just move away
because they have no weight to them and they are not established. Bedrock
is different; it is solid and has weight so that no matter what current comes,
it is able to stand sure. This is what Father wants to work in us so that
we will not be like these little pebbles so easily taken away with every wind
of doctrine or the circumstances of life that are so difficult for us to
handle. Remember that Jezebel is preaching a wrong doctrine. If we are
not grounded in the Word of God and have not allowed Him to work this in us, we
will be easily swayed and these currents will take us away.
Father
has brought the number 69 to me over and over again, and the Hebrew word (H69)
in Strong’s means “a stone”. As we read in Psalm 45 about the daughter of
Tyre, we find that “Tyre” in the Strong’s is H6865, and it means “a
rock”. She’s the daughter of the Rock. It is only when you are
established in the Rock that you can judge with those stones that will be
thrown. “Tyre” is also from the root word H6864, and it means “flint,
hard, pebble, used as a knife”. Remember that Yeshua said in Matthew
7:24, “Therefore whosoever heareth the sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will
liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock…”. His words
are the Rock. So back in my vision, the pebbles or stones are the words
of God that have been tried and tested, because we’ve done them. These
will be the words by which we will judge them… the Word of God. But we
can only do this when we are established on that Rock. Another example of
this is with David and Goliath where he picked up five stones, representing the
law or the first five books of the Bible, and Goliath was killed with only one
stone… judgment. This also connects back to the recent video I did
called, “Rock of Ages”; no surprise there! It
would be good to watch this again in light of this current topic.
The
second vision I had was a few years ago.
VISION – HAND OUT OF BIBLE
I saw a Bible, and all of a sudden the Bible burst open with pages on
each side, and a hand came forcefully out. As the hand came out, the
index finger was pointing to the side in judgment.
Interpretation:
This hand coming out of the Bible pointing in judgment shows us that the
judgment will come from the basis of the Word of God that has been worked in
us. The pointing of the finger is a reference to the number 12, because
it means to point and divine governmental authority.
We
must remember that our authority is based on our authenticity. This is
not based on the ability to name it and claim it, but because we are the real
thing. The purity of the Word is what will pierce the hearts of the
people. You will speak in authority, because that authority has been
wrought in you through what God has purposed and planned for you in your life
and what you have gone through with God. With regard to the finger
pointing and number 12, we think of the 12 apostles who went out in this divine
authority. The 12th letter of the Hebrew alphabet
is Lamed, and the pictograph for this word is a rod. A rod is used for
chastising, and who do we chastise typically but our children. The rod
means to discipline, to teach, to point out, to judge, and to exhort. The
apostles and the prophets who are sent out to the churches are going with the
rod of God’s authority to condemn and judge the children with regard to the
doctrines that they believe. Think of the left-behind church and the
adulterous church to whom they are being sent. They are going to deal
with them ruthlessly, calling a spade a spade. This is the middle of the
tribulation, and there is no time to joke around. They are going with a
rod of authority based on the Word of God.
In
1 Peter 4, we are told that judgment begins with the house of God.
1 PETER 4
17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and
if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel
of God?
18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the
sinner appear?
19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the
keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
The judgment starts with the house of God, with the
apostles and prophets who must be able to speak that judgment. You can
only speak that judgment if you have allowed God to judge you. Do you
have any right to do that? Only if you have allowed God to work in you
that disposition that is required for the type of persecution that will come
against the church in the spirit of Jezebel are you allowed to judge.
Yeshua said that when we judge, we must judge righteously. He must work
in us that type of valor, resoluteness, perseverance, endurance, and faith, so
that we can come against this spirit in the time to come.
If we go to the chapters of Revelation that discuss
the churches, we find that in Ephesus, the first church, they have forsaken
their first love. In the last church, Laodicea, they are lukewarm.
We see a progression in time. We are now in the time of the church of
Laodicea, but we are going to go back to the church of Ephesus where they
forsake their first love. The time of the Church of Ephesus is when the
apostles and prophets will be sent out right at the beginning of the Great
Tribulation. As the Word says, that which was, will be again, so once the
tribulation starts, we will be going back to the church of Ephesus. The
issue at that time will be that love has grown cold. When we come to the
church of Smyrna in Revelation, Yeshua introduces Himself and says that He is
the first and the last (Revelation 2:8). We know that with the church of
Smyrna are the apostles and prophets who are sent in first, and they will lay
down their lives and some will die and then be raised up at the last day, thus
we have the first and the last. They will be kings and priests who will
rule and reign and judge. They judge in the beginning and they judge at
the end. They judge being sent out, laying their lives down, and then
they judge at the end when they are raised up to rule and reign. We read
about this in Luke 22. Then we have the church of Pergamos. When
Yeshua introduces Himself to this church, He then says He has a sharp sword
with two edges (Revelation 2:12). The two edges of the sword are the
persecution of the saints and also we know that it is World War III and all the
related calamities that will take place. He also says that the
abomination of desolation is standing there. With that, we find the
reference to the Mark 13 discourse. We know that we are at this time when
the antichrist is present and will bring to pass these two edges of the sword…
persecuting the saints for not taking the mark of the beast and world
war. “Standing” means to be in a place of authority. Next is the
church of Thyatira where Yeshua introduces Himself as one who has a flaming
fire coming out of His eyes (Revelation 2:18). And who do we find being
addressed here but Jezebel. Let’s read about that now.
REVELATION
2
18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith
the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are
like fine brass;
19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience,
and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.
20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest
that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce
my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with
her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know
that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every
one of you according to your works.
24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not
this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I
will put upon you none other burden.
25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I
give power over the nations:
27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter
shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
28 And I will give him the morning star.
29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the
churches.
It makes complete sense that Yeshua would come with
fire, because it was with fire that He addressed the prophets of Baal.
When He speaks of the prophetess in verse 20, He is speaking of a religious
spirit and the false prophet. So Pergamos addresses him who is standing
as the abomination of desolation, or the antichrist with the mark of the beast,
and Thyatira is addressing Jezebel or the false prophet at this time during the
tribulation. This is just as we mentioned before… Herod and his wife and
Ahab and Jezebel. In verse 22, the adultery mentioned is false doctrine,
and in verse 23, the children mentioned are those of the mother of
harlots. With regard to the false doctrine, in verse 24 He tells them not
to lose sight of that which they have heard from the beginning, the simplicity
of the gospel. He continues in verse 27 and says to them that those who
overcome will rule with a rod, which reminds us of Lamed, number 12, and
authority.
In summary, when we talk about the spirit of
Elijah, we are talking about the Smyrna group – the overcoming eagles – who
come in the spirit of Elijah to address this Jezebel spirit that will rise up,
and they will condemn it with the Word of God established in them.
Moving on, let’s go to Psalm 144. Father kept
on bringing the number 144 to me, and then He took me to Psalm 144, which of
course makes complete sense.
PSALM 144
1 Blessed be the Lord my
strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
2 My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my
shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
12 That our
sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as
corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:
Here we have David saying that the Lord is his
strength. He says that the Lord is teaching his hands to war. Think
here of the Queen of the South on the right hand (south) of the King.
Your right-hand person is the person you can trust. It’s the person who
you know has the character that will not let you down and who knows what is
going on. It speaks of faithfulness and understanding. So the King
has this person on His right hand… the Queen. She is His right
hand. Think of the five fingers of the hand as apostle, prophet, teacher,
evangelist, and pastor. He teaches His right hand to war. And for
what purpose does He teach this? David says that He subdues his people
under him; not his enemies, but his people. If you look in the Strong’s
for the meaning of “people”, it means “kinsmen, friends, and family”.
David is saying that the Lord is teaching him how to rule and reign over his
people so that they are subject to him. What is the purpose of this
subduing of his people under him? The word “subdue” is from H7286, and it
means to “beat down, to spread, to tread in pieces, to stamp”. This
sounds much like the tribulation or a very difficult time to go through.
He said that the Lord is teaching his hands to bring his people, his children,
into subjection by beating them down, treading them to pieces, and stamping
them… he brings them into subjection. This is done by addressing the
issue head on with the spirit of Elijah. Think of the timing of what we
will be going into. The hand is a representation of the five-fold
ministry, the shepherds over the flock. Remember that I said that the
sheep cannot protect themselves against the wolves. No sheep has any
chance against a wolf, unless there is a shepherd who is like a wolf.
This is an equally fierce spirit, but one that is sanctified. Remembering
the vision I had with the finger pointing in judgment, the same is true with
the fingers in this Psalm. These are the fingers of judgment; they point
and they judge. The word “finger” in the Strong’s means “to seize, take
hold of, take captive, to bring into subjection”. This is what the
apostles and prophets are going to do with the disobedient children of the
church… bring them into subjection.
Who are the children? Looking at verse 12 in
this same Psalm, we see from the Strong’s that David says that the sons will be
as “plants that are grown up” which means in the Strong’s Concordance to be
“established” or are a “pillar”. The “cornerstones” that the daughters
will be also means “pillar”, as pillars in the palace. So again, the
Queen standing on His right hand, which means south, is established and is a
pillar. She is making pillars by subduing her children in truth and
exposing deception, adultery, and anything contrary in the church, in order to
make them pillars of faith. This is the purpose for which they will be
sent to the churches… that they will cause their children to be made into
pillars. A pillar can endure the pressure from above and below.
Let’s go back to the fingers of the hand that are
warring again. In the Strong’s, the word “finger” means the finger, but
it comes from the root word H6648 which means “dye, dyed things, something
dyed, or coloured cloth”. Again with the fingers representing the five-fold
ministry – apostle, prophet, teacher, evangelist, and pastor – they will judge
with the judgment being to bring dyed cloth. What is this dyed
cloth? As I researched this, I went back to the church of Thyatira and
found something interesting. According to Stephanus of Byzantium, he
called the city Thyatira from the Greek meaning “daughter” (think of the
daughter of Tyre in Psalm 45), but it is likely that it is an older Lydian
name. Think of Lydia from Thyatira that we read about in scripture.
She was a seller of purple, and what was Yeshua’s robe color from Mark’s
discourse that we discussed earlier? It was purple. Here Lydia is a
representation of the church of Thyatira, which in Revelation 2 is associated
with Yeshua talking about Jezebel in the midst of tribulation. Lydia was
a seller of purple, and this connects to the finger of judgment as the dyed
cloth. Continuing from my research, it said that during the Roman era in
the first century AD, Thyatira was famous for its dying facilities, and it was
the centre of the purple cloth trade. In Judges 5, it talks about the
women that were taken captive at that time and that they had purple cloths tied
to them to keep them captive. Revelation talks about the church in
captivity and in tribulation.
How does the Father teach His hand or the five-fold
ministry, and those who will be sent out to war, to cause the virgins and the
children they produce to be under subjection to us? In the last
devotional teaching that I did, “Prophets
Amongst Us”, I talked about the investment that God makes into
a prophet and what He puts into us in purifying us and setting us apart.
This includes the difficult circumstances to which He subjects us in order to
make us pillars, so that we can subdue our children and bring them unto
subjection so that they may also become pillars. He brings us through
situations that break us down to dust. He strips us until there is
nothing left of us.
Just before Father began working with me on this
devotional teaching, I had a vision one morning, and I will share it now.
VISION –
ALTAR AND WOLF
I saw a big stone altar, and on
top of it was hay or straw. I saw a man lying on top of the altar and
leather straps were being bound around him. The next moment, I saw myself
walking with my wolf. I had a strap attached to the wolf, and he was
leading me.
Interpretation:
The man on the altar represents where the Lord says in scripture to bind
the sacrifice to the altar, and we know that we are living sacrifices.
What they would do at that time is they would bind it to the horns of the
altar, which were at the four corners.
In my next devotional I will go into depth with regard to the wolf’s
meaning.
Many
of us have not bound the sacrifice to the altar. Our lives go through so
many difficult circumstances pre-ordained by the Father that it seems our lives
are lived on that altar. We are a living sacrifice, and we grow tired and
overwhelmed by it, and we even grow offended by the ways that God deals with
us. We have not bound the sacrifice to the altar, and we get off that
altar. We’ve had enough and feel we cannot endure it any longer.
This is the type of thing He works in us, that endurance. This is why He
keeps on saying to all the churches to endure to the end. In the book of
Revelation between the fifth and the sixth seals, we read about the souls under
the altar who cry out asking the Lord when He will avenge their blood. He
tells them to wait just a bit longer till the time of the Gentiles comes to an
end and the others like them will join them. Who do we think are under
the altar? These are those who gave up their lives. Unless you are
willing to bind the sacrifice to the altar, which is your life and your being,
now and not climb off until He has finished the work in you, how will you be
willing in the time to come to lay your life down so that you may be accounted
worthy to be one of those under the altar who will ultimately rule and reign
with Him? The first shall be last, and the last shall be first.
This is what He is working in you, and unless you allow Him to work it in you
now and bind the sacrifice to the altar, you will not be willing to pay the
price in the time to come when the tribulation will be much worse than what you
are facing now.
About
seven to eight years ago when my family moved into the house we are in now,
Father gave me a dream.
VISION –
WHALE
In the dream, there was a whale, a very large killer whale, in our
swimming pool. This whale swallowed me and spat me out, and he did it
twice.
Interpretation:
Father was saying to me that I was going to go through a great time of
trying and it would be repeated twice. The reason it was a killer whale
is because the purpose was for it to kill me. The swimming pool pointed
to there being no space to move around, no wiggle space, and I would not be
able to get out of this. In being swallowed up by a whale, there is great
darkness, which represents the trials I would face.
Father was showing me and preparing me that I was
about to go through a very difficult time. As we know, Jonah was also
swallowed up by a whale. Yeshua said that the sign of Jonah would come,
and the Queen of the South would rise up with him. Doesn’t it stand to
reason that the Queen of the South who is to judge just like Jonah, also like
Jonah has to go into a time of darkness in preparation for what is to
come? We will now look into this about Jonah. Before we go there,
let’s remember that Father had been giving me the number 69 for some time, and
this word in the Strong’s means “stone”. He led me to Psalm 69 as well,
and when we read this, it is almost as if we are reading Jonah 2. Psalm
69 is a messianic psalm talking about what He went through, which when reading
Jonah 2, you read basically the same words. When you read this, you will
also hear the echo of your own heart regarding the difficulty He has placed you
in.
JONAH 2
1 Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his
God out of the fish's belly,
2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly
of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
3 For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the
floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
4 Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward
thy holy temple.
5 The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me
round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was
about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God.
7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came in unto thee,
into thine holy temple.
8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will
pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.
10 And the Lord spake
unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
As you read verse 4, think of Yeshua when He said,
“My God, my God, why hast though forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46) This is
what He will take His children through whom He is preparing to become pillars
of faith. He takes them to the place where they feel He truly has
forsaken them and that He will never help. Many have heard of the “dark
night of the soul”, and it is a very real experience where you feel you are in
utter darkness and God has forsaken you. This is just as Yeshua felt on
the cross, that God had forsaken Him. This really is how He felt; He did
not say those words just for our benefit. He went through it, so that
when we go through it – the dark night of the soul – we may know He will take
us out of it. In the difficult circumstances of your life right now,
Father is working death in you, so that you will reach that place where all is
dead in you – spirit, soul, and body. It’s a place where you feel that
God has forsaken you utterly, and He will never answer you, and it will never
end. This is because it has been so difficult and has gone on for so
long. You utter, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” It
works in you the right disposition so that you are like Jacob at Peniel who had
power over God and man. Jacob wrestled with God, face to face (Hosea 12:4
says it was the Lord who wrestled with him). The Angel of the Lord came
to him as a man, and when He saw that He was not going to prevail over Jacob,
which means that the disposition had been worked in Jacob that no matter who he
fought against he would prevail and persevere, then He said he was no longer
Jacob but Israel. The name Israel means that he had power over God and
over man. This is a power of perseverance and endurance. Jacob had
to overcome and endure, the same will be required of the churches.
What He is working in you now is to be established
as a pillar of faith, to be able to face any circumstances that will come your
way. It is where your mind has been renewed and you have been
strengthened in the Spirit. The Spirit of Elijah has then been worked in
you, because you allowed God to judge every part and particle of you. You
have been brought to dust, and what rises from there is to be able to live by
the faith of the Son of God. This is as Paul said in Galatians 2:20, “…It
is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live
in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself
for me.” This is what comes out of this death, and it must be a complete
death -- the type that leaves you utterly distraught with no hope. This
is so that when we go out to those who have no hope, having already been
distraught crying out asking the Father why He has forsaken us, we can say to
them – those lukewarm Christians who have lost faith in God during the
tribulation – that we have been there on the cross and know for certain that He
will bring forth life out of this death. We will be able to say this with
such authenticity and power that it will be possible for our words to raise the
dead to life. Hallelujah, praise be to God! This is what He is
working in us, and the enemy – that Jezebel spirit – will not want to allow
that. She will hate and persecute the saints.
We may be asking ourselves why we are going through
such a difficult time. In my case, I have an 18-year old daughter who has
five different disorders, and it has been this very situation where His grace
through the related trials has made me the person I am today. Recently
the Father gave my friend Stacy, who does my transcripts, a beautiful word that
she has to “bless her battle”. I told her that “blessing the battle will
cause your battle to become your blessing”. What is your battle? Is
it a broken marriage, is it sickness, is it the death of a loved one, is it
being persecuted? Is it a sickness that will never end? I know many
who suffer from Lyme Disease, and it is a torment. Are you in the place
where you are blessing your battle and saying to Him, “Lord, I will prevail and
I will have power. I will not give in until you bless me.” There is
an “until”; there is a point where He says, “Now I will bless you”. But
will you hold on? Are you willing to stay on the altar? Are you
willing to bind the sacrifice to the altar until He blesses you? Are you
willing to get back up if you’ve gotten off? Are you willing to hear
what He is teaching you through every circumstance in order to work that in you?
I would like to share something that Isaac Newton
wrote, a song.
ISAAC
NEWTON
I asked the Lord that I might grow
In faith, and love, and every grace;
Might more of His salvation know,
And seek, more earnestly, His face.
‘Twas He who taught me thus to pray,
And He, I trust, has answered prayer!
But it has been in such a way,
As almost drove me to despair.
I hoped that in some favored hour,
At once He’d answer my request;
And by His love’s constraining pow’r,
Subdue my sins, and give me rest.
Instead of this, He made me feel
The hidden evils of my heart;
And let the angry pow’rs of hell
Assault my soul in every part.
Yea more, with His own hand He seemed
Intent to aggravate my woe;
Crossed all the fair designs I schemed,
Blasted my gourds, and laid me low.
Lord, why is this, I trembling cried,
Wilt thou pursue thy worm to death?
“‘Tis in this way, the Lord replied,
I answer prayer for grace and faith.
These inward trials I employ,
From self, and pride, to set thee free;
And break thy schemes of earthly joy,
That thou may’st find thy all in Me.”
The extent that God will go will be that there is
nothing He won’t do to work the spirit of Elijah in you, because of the
children He wants to save. Just as there is nothing a mother won’t do to
save her children… nothing. The Queen is the mother of all.
One of the greatest reasons we tend to get off the
altar is because of self-pity, and because it just becomes too much.
People may look at us and say that we have every reason to have self-pity and
give up. This is just like Job’s wife who told him to curse God and give
up on Him, basically saying to him, “Is this the kind of God you serve?
Please just give up.” The enemy will make sure you have people around you
to tell you these things. Self-pity will not help you; it will cause you
to get off the altar. I do have compassion for people who are going
through such difficult circumstances, simply because I too have gone through so
much. I majored in self-pity and was the queen of it. I felt so
sorry for myself, until Father revealed to me that self-pity is like ivy in a
garden that starts to take over the garden. The ivy starts to suck on the
healthy fruit and plants and steal the nutrients. In our case, self-pity
will steal the things that Father has already worked in us, and it will drain
the life and fervor out of us, to the point we begin licking our wounds.
I thought about my dog, a German Shepherd, who has arthritis in her leg and how
she will lick her leg to the point it will be sore and hurt her. This
licking would irritate me so much. As I was thinking about this in the
course of the night, I woke up the next morning at 6:21; and 621 in the
Strong’s is “lick” (what are the chances?). The reference is to the dogs
that came and licked Lazarus’ sores. Father was showing this to me,
because He wanted me to address this, because His children are given over to
self-pity. Imagine if Yeshua had given Himself over to self-pity?
He knows how difficult our circumstances can be, but just as the constant
licking of my dog irritates me so much, I am asking how does the “licking” of
our own sorrows and woes affect Him? It is our “woe is me” attitude
asking how He could do this to us, how could He treat us this way, why does He allow
us to feel this way, and how much longer must this go on? We think we
deserve better and He should not be putting this on us. We ask why people
treat us the way they do, why our children act certain ways towards us.
We look at ourselves and say that we have nothing, we are nothing, and we feel
that we are mistreated and poor. We just continue to lick and lick our
wounds.
This subject of self-pity is where the wolf story
comes in that Father wants to speak to us about. Either the morning before
or after the 621 incident, I went into the lounge where my German Shepherd
lies, and she had vomited. That evening she went to her food bowl and
went back to her bed and back and forth several times, but she would not
eat. This reminded me of the scripture in 2 Peter 2:22 where it talks
about false doctrine that comes into the church, and the children of God are
returning to their vomit (the false doctrine). It’s also like a sow who
has just been washed wallowing in the dirt, which is like us wallowing in our
woes. It’s self-pity. Something happened to me related to this, and
it is not something I would normally do. I got very angry with my dog
going back and forth and not lying down and being obedient that I instinctively
showed her my teeth and growled at her. I was a bit bewildered wondering
why I had just done that. It was the Spirit in me that caused me to do it
for your benefit, not for me, but for you that I may bring this message
across. I then instinctively thought of a wolf, like an alpha female, who
would growl at her puppies with a look like she would devour them. They
can look very vicious. This is the very disposition that Father is
working in His pillars of faith – those who will be sent out to disobedient
children. They will be seen as unfair, as too strict, but God is going to
send a rod of judgment to the church at this time to deal with them and save
them and pluck them out of the fire. When we save someone from a
dangerous situation, we don’t have time to play nice; we pull and pluck them
out quickly and abruptly and with fervor.
In Hebrews 5:7-8, we read that Yeshua learned
obedience by the things that He suffered. This is what He is teaching
us. This kind of suffering that we go through to learn obedience is
applicable to the type of judging that will come forth out of us. It will
produce a sharpness, discernment from a pure heart, and compassion and
empathy. It will be as a mother and a father looking after their children
who have experience and have gone through things. It will be out of
wisdom that we speak. Most importantly what He is teaching us through
this suffering is to know His ways. His dealings with us is to teach us
His ways. Psalm 25:9 says, “The meek will he guide in judgment: and the
meek will he teach his way.” He teaches us His way, and He shows us who
He is. We know Him because we walk with Him just like Elijah who knew
Him. We are the Jacobs who wrestle with Him in the dark night of the
soul, who know Him and have been blessed by Him.
When John the Baptist was imprisoned, he asked his
disciples to go to Yeshua and ask if He was the One. Yeshua told them to
go back to him and tell him that if he didn’t believe in Him, at least believe
His works that the blind were seeing, the deaf were hearing, the lame were
walking, and the sick were healed. Then He said, “Blessed is he,
whosoever shall not be offended in me.” (Matthew 11:6) John is
imprisoned, and we know the Smyrna group will be imprisoned as well, and He is
asking the same as the Smyrna group may ask, “Where is He”? And He says,
“Blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me” by how and what I allow
to happen in your life. The question is, are you presently now offended
with all He is allowing in your life? Are you offended that He would go
to this extent to form your character? Blessed are you when you are not
offended.
I would like to end this with a prayer.
Father, I thank you for this word, and I thank you
that you are the one sitting as a refiner over your children. I thank you
that you have deep compassion on their struggle and suffering the same way that
you had over Yeshua on the cross. You feel what we feel, and you are
invested in the perfecting of your saints. The Word says in Ephesians 2
that we are your workmanship, in order that we may walk in that which you have
preordained for us – that we may do those works. Father it is your Spirit
that is perfecting that work in us. I pray Father that you will
strengthen their inner man with might, every person who is suffering so much
under the weight of your hand, who are willing sacrifices. I pray that
you give them understanding of your ways, give them wisdom, and work in them
that disposition to become pillars of faith. Help them to know that you
will never leave them nor forsake them. Thank you Father that for
everything under heaven, there is a purpose, and a season, and a time.
You have established the border, the length, and the time of every season and
you know when the time is to bless them…. to call them Israel and your Prince
who shall rule and reign with you. Paul said that this momentary
suffering cannot be compared with the eternal weight of glory. At times
like this Father, the suffering seems greater because we lose perspective of
the eternal weight of glory. Your word says that no eye has seen and no
ear has heard of the things that you have prepared for those who love
you.
Thank you Father for strengthening them, for loving
them, for fathering them, for coming alongside them, and for giving them
wisdom. I praise and worship you Father. I pray this in the name of
Yeshua. Amen.
