THE QUEEN OF THE SOUTH

A lot of us have more or less and idea about who the Queen of the south is and some have no idea who it is or what it means.  This teaching will give a greater depth of understanding of the Song of Solomon and it would be good to take out your Bible, underline and take notes.  We can go to many teachings and in the end accumulate knowledge, but the Word says that we are to get above all things wisdom.  Wisdom has the propensity to change us.  Wisdom is prudence, which is the ability to know how to apply understanding or knowledge.  May we not leave the same after this teaching, but contemplate what is written and spoken and allow Him to search our hearts afresh.  Let’s read in Luke 11 where Yeshua speaks about the Queen of the south.  It is important that we have context here, because Luke 11 is where the disciples asked Yeshua about the future.  Therefore, it was prophetic in nature.  Yeshua was not talking about that very moment, but what would be. He mentions that HE will come as Jonah, as a sign to this generation.

LUKE 11: 30 – 32

30 For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation. (Which generation?  The generation of the end times, which would be us.)

31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

32 The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

So, the queen of the south and the men of Nineveh rises up in judgment to condemn this generation.  The question we are asking is, “Who is the Queen of the south?”  We get a small clue in these verses where Yeshua says that she came to receive wisdom from Solomon.  We know that the one who came to receive wisdom from Solomon is actually the Queen of Sheba.  In order to know who the Queen of the south is, we need to know who the Queen of Sheba is.

Sheba is an area in South Arabia.  They were known as the Sabeans who traded in incense, gold, perfume and spices.  Why did they send the Queen of Sheba to Solomon?  It was known at that time that the way the Arabians looked upon woman in that time is that the woman had equal standing or footing with regards to authority as the men in civil, religious and military affairs.  The woman were on the same playing field.  We also know that Solomon had a great love for woman and we can only imagine that she was an absolute “beauty”.  They sent this woman with great authority as their representative.  She is a gentile woman, there to receive wisdom.  We read of her in 1 Kings 10 and 2 Chronicles 9 and find all the gifts she brought to him.  You do not come to the King empty handed…never.  She brings him exactly what they trade with in South-Arabia, which is gold, spices and incense.  The interesting part about Sheba is that the most populated city of that time in Arabia was Nineveh.  Immediately we know that the Queen of the south is the Queen of Sheba and she is from Nineveh being raised up.  This is not telling us that from Arabia a woman is going to be raised up.  It is all a type and shadow, just like Jonas and Solomon is a type and shadow in Luke 11.  In the same way the Queen of the south is a type and shadow as well as the men.  She and the men represent the Gentile nations that have come from all over the world, who repented.  Meaning that they have been washed and are cleansed and are raised up with her in judgment to condemn this generation.  Yeshua is saying therefore that at the beginning of the tribulation that this is what you will see.

Let’s dig more into this amazing woman of great authority, obviously beautiful, coming to receive wisdom.  Wisdom is very important in all this.  We have a clear description of her in Psalm 45.  Psalm 45 was written to the chief musician upon Shoshannim, for the sons of Korah and is a song of loves.  This psalm is very beautiful and we are going to dissect it looking at the various meanings of the words from the Strong’s Concordance.  In the first part of the psalm we see that the writer is very excited, saying his tongue is the pen of a ready writer. He starts to describe the King, being David as a warrior-priest.

PSALM 45

(Written to the Chief Musician upon Shoshannim, for the sons of Korah.  A Song of loves)

1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee forever. (We know that this is a type and shadow of Yeshua)

Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.

And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.

Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.

What a description!  The first part we find that he is militant.  It talks about his arrows, about subduing, his right scepter, his ruling and reigning, and the last part says that his garments smells of myrrh, aloes and cassia.  These are very expensive spices and they speak of his priesthood and that he is in the capacity of a warrior-priest.  Just as we find Joshua when he entered into Canaan, subduing, anointed as a priest and a warrior.

After this we get to the first mention of the Queen.

Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.

The word “QUEEN” means to lie with and to draw with a bucket.  Immediately we have this clear understanding speaks of intimacy, of intercourse and oneness.  This is His wife.  A king’s queen is his wife.  They have become one in every form.  We use a bucket to draw water and my previous devotional I spoke about our heart that has four chambers and the heart itself is the garden.   The garden was the center of the earth.  The garden in the Song of Solomon is always where he goes to.  It is our heart.  In Genesis 2 we read that the garden had four rivers, just like our heart has four chambers.  Out of these rivers we read came different gemstones and gold, specifically from Ophir.  Here we have this queen where her heart is a garden, but also a fountain from where he drinks or draws with his bucket.  They are one.

We also see that she is standing on “RIGHT HAND”H3225.  And wouldn’t you know it, “Right hand” means SOUTH.  The queen is standing on the south side of him.  The moment we hear the word “Right hand” we know that right hand person can be depended upon and has authority and trust from the person next to them.  The Queen of the south with Jonas will be raised up in this time to judge.  Why can see judge?  Because she is in a place of authority.

Now we come to the word “STAND” – H5824, which means establish, deputy, erect, appointed, officers, PILLAR.  Here we have a clear indication that when she stands next to him, it is also in a place of authority and militancy.  She is there with him in equal apparel, just like he was described being royal, a warrior, kingly and priestly.  She is standing next to him as one.  This is why she is portrayed in the same way.  She has authority and rank.

She is also standing IN gold OF OPHIR – Not just that she is giving gold, but she is standing IN gold.  One can imagine how she looked as these Arabian woman were draped in beautiful gold all over.  As she is standing next to him she is like a pillar of gold.  This word “Ophir” means to reduce to ash or dust. We know that gold is a reference to our faith being tried with fire that is more precious than fine gold.  She is standing there as a pillar and she is completely covered with gold, representing her faith that has been tried.  Also the fact that we find that what the Queen of Sheba brought him was incense and perfume, speaks of her priesthood in identification with his suffering.  Spices in order to produce a scent have to be crushed.  So she is in deep identification with him in his suffering, in his death and resurrection.  Just as Paul said that he desires to know Him in His suffering and His death and resurrection.  Both His death and resurrection.  You cannot have the one without the other.

SUMMARY:

1.      She is one with Him as the Church is bone of His bone, flesh of His flesh.  Those who are joined to the Lord is one spirit.  No division...He is her life, her breath, she has her being IN HIM and He IN her. Complete oneness, becoming one in spirit.

2.      She represents the Gentile Bride from the south, standing on His right hand side. She comes from all over the world, seeking the wisdom of Solomon.  Our Solomon is Yeshua.

3.      She is in a place of authority and He trusts her.

4.      She is a pillar, one raised and established and stands with Him in militant authority.  She is appointed, deputized and has rank.  She is formidable, beautiful, authoritive and quite something to behold.

5.      She is IN gold, have been brought to dust or ashes.  The trying of our faith is more precious than gold.

10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;

11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.

You will constantly hear that He tells her that she is beautiful.  In Song of Solomon he tells her that just one look of her eyes ravishes him.   He is a “gonner” just by one look, seeing how utterly in love she is with him and devoted.  She is beautiful to him. What caused him to look upon her that way?  It is because she has left all, she has forgotten her own people and left her father’s house. We find that the Queen of the south has come from all over the world to come to Solomon.  She has left all behind so that she can come to him.  We know that once a husband and a wife come together they become one and start a new family.  It is not that the Lord does not want us to consider our families or father’s house.  It means that they have no hold on our hearts and we can leave them at any time if we had to choose between Him and them.  That is not so easily done, but it is a process that he takes us through.  He is saying, “This you need to do.  You need to leave all behind to follow Me.”

To him she is beautiful and he is her LORD and she worships Him in spirit and truth.  I added this “spirit and truth” because in John 4 came to the Samaritan woman that is a type and shadow of the Gentile Bride.  He tells her that they should not drink water from that well.  “Let Me be that living water that will come forth.  This is the fountain that I want to drink from with my bucket, to draw that living water from your heart, this well.” This beauty is within.  I mentioned this in my previous devotional quoting 1 Peter 3.  Our beauty is that meekness of heart and a quiet spirit.

12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.

13 The king's daughter is all glorious WITHIN: her clothing is of wrought gold.

The Tyre means The ROCK. The Daughter of Tyre is a direct link to the Church of Smyrna.  In my previous devotional, “Remember me, Church of Smyrna”, I spoke about how at the end Smyrna was completely destroyed and the only parts that made it were the pillars that stood out from amongst the ashes.  The pillars endured and pillars in the Strong’s concordance means established, sure and endurance etc.  Part of this Bride is the Church of Smyrna, a daughter of Tyre.

The GIFTS she brings isH4503 and it means offerings, meat offerings grain offerings.  When I saw the grain offerings I thought of the wheat harvest that the seals portion of the tribulation represents to us.  It is the great wheat harvest that is to be brought in.  She, the daughter of Smyrna, which are the evangelists, those who will lay their necks on the line, will go out and bring in a great grain harvest to the King.

She is GLORIOUS WITHIN. This means wealth, rich, weight – spices, incense, gold, perfume.  She is rich in the wisdom of God, in her identification with Him and her faith.  She bears weight.

Her CLOTHING IS HER COVERING and it is wrought from H 4869.  It means CHEQUERED work, embroidered, enchased with gems. She stands in the gold of Ophir like a pillar next to Him.  You can see this beautiful gown she has on and it is chequered with gems in.

Let’s go to verse 14.  Verse 14 tells us something very interesting about this queen. She has virgins that follow her.  Let’s read about that.

14 She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee. (She comes to the King with her virgins)

15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.

This word VIRGINS comes from H1330 and it means maid, maiden, also man and BRIDE.  She is the queen that has virgins that form part of the Bride.  In ancient times the Kings had many wives.  We know that Solomon had many wives, concubines and virgins.  It was the responsibility of the queen is to prepare the virgins to come before the King so that they may produce offspring.  Because of them being chaste and pure, He looks favorably on them and they are prepared to stand before Him.  This is the responsibility of the Queen standing on his right hand.  They are considered her “companions”.  They are her close friends that follow her.  Yeshua said, Follow Me.  And here we see that she has virgins that follow her. They follow Christ in her.  We just saw in Psalm 45 how the description of the King is mirrored in her where she too is royal, authority, militant and priestly.  She and Christ is one.  They see Christ in her and that is why they follow her.  Not because she is anything, but Christ is everything.

We read that the virgins will be BROUGHT into the King’s palace.  This word “brought comes form H2986 and it means to carry away, lead away, bring forth in pomp…big story!  This made me think of Revelation 7 that speaks of the rapture, the bringing in of the wheat harvest.  They have palm trees and they are clothed in white.  The harvest of the virgins brought in.

16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.

The children will become princes.  When we hear the word “Prince” or “Princess” we think of authority, royalty and it means to rule and reign.  We know that He is making a Kingdom of Kings and Priests for the millennial reign.  He has determined who will rule and reign.  This is why we constantly read in the book of Revelations to the different churches to endure and not lose their crown.  What do you need a crown for? You need a crown to rule and reign.  Hold fast to your crown because it carries with it great reward.

In summary we have three elements.  We have the Queen, the virgins and their children.

In Luke 22 the disciples were in a discussion about who would be the greatest in His Kingdom and who would sit next to Him on the throne.  He said to them that if they want to be the greatest, they will have to serve.  In this world it is the other way around, but in His Kingdom, you serve first.

LUKE 22

28 Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.

29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;

30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

1 CORINTHIANS 6

Paul is here talking to the Corinthians bickering amongst one another, saying to them, “If you cannot figure things out here, how are you going to do it at the end?  You need to do it well now, so that you can do it right then.”

Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

In 1 Chronicles 29 David is talking about Solomon and how he has provided for the building of the temple.

1 CHRONICLES 29

1 Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the Lord God.

Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house.

Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal:

What I want to bring across here with regard to this chequered work of the Queen’s dress is that it also have gems in.  These gems are the precious stones David is talking about.  They represent the offspring or the children that the Queen and the Virgins produce.  We need to understand that the Queen prepares the virgins to be able to also produce offspring.  A good example of this is with Jacob who had Rachel and Leah as his two wives.  However, they each had servants who were responsible to also produce offspring and they form part of the forming of the twelve tribes.  I have done some study on it and these servants were considered as his wives and were treated as such.  We can see the servants as the virgins, the maidens and also the Bride.  They would have followed Rachel and Leah wherever they went.  They would have been in good standing with them, their close companions or friends.  In Isaiah 54 we have a beautiful description of this Queen.  She is seen as a mother.  It starts with telling us that she is barren.  If you have watched or read my previous devotional teaching, “Crossing over”, you would have heard me saying that the Lord God is very fond of barrenness and impotence. He needs us to get to that point where we can no longer produce out of ourselves so that He can be the life in us.  He produces offspring.

Isaiah 54 (SHE IS A MOTHER)

1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord.

For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.

12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.

13 And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.

Here we see that she is a woman that is barren.  She is likened unto a city that is being built with precious stones in the foundation and in her walls.  These stones are her children.  Another clear description of the Queen or wife is in Revelation 21 where she is called the New Jerusalem.

REVELATION 21

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (Remember, the Queen of the south is raised up.  In order to come down, you need to be raised up first.)

And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.

19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; (Just like David explained in 1 Chronicles 29)

20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

These stones in her walls are the children she has brought forth, built into her walls.  About 3 – 4 years ago I had a dream and whilst preparing for this message, the Holy Spirit reminded me of this dream and it makes even more sense now, also when reading Psalm 45.

I dreamed that I was to build someone’s house.  When I got there the foundation was already laid.  The edge of the foundation was in the shape of a bow and into this foundation was built a throne.  The foundation was lifted.  I was aware that the King was seated on the throne.  I was building a wall laying these soft green gemstones in them.

In Psalm 45 it talks about His arrows that go out.  In Revelation 14 we read about other virgins and they are singing.  Remember, we read in Isaiah 54 that the barren woman is to break out in singing.

Revelation 14

And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

These are virgins that now follow the Lamb.  Guile means deception, having ulterior motives, to do something not truthfully or having a hidden agenda.  Their hearts are pure.  They sang a song.  We have read that Psalm 45 was written to Shoshanim.  This word “Shoshanim” is a word directly linked to the word “lilies”.  We say something is “lily-white”, meaning it is pure.  The connection here is virginity or virgins.  These virgins in Revelation 14 is G3933.  No, it does not mean that they are men that did not sleep with woman.  They are marriageable maiden, woman or man chaste, they have not committed idolatry, adultery and have not been involved in whoredom.  When we hear that they have not been with woman, it means that they have not had intercourse with this world. They are pure, clean, chaste and virginal.  They are not one with the world, but one with Him.

In Revelation 14 we read that the Lamb has virgins following Him and in Psalm 45 the Queen has virgins following her.  All this reminded me of another dream I had that also became much clearer to me through this teaching.  Before I talk about this dream, I know that my call upon my life is to prepare the virgins.  The virgins are the men of Nineveh, those who have repented, the Gentile Bride and now follows the Queen of the south wherever she goes.  They follow the wife of the Lamb.  I believe this dream holds hands with the seals period of the tribulation, specifically because it starts with two tsunamis.

In this dream I was standing in a shop that had no walls.  I was browsing through some clothes when I noticed a massive tsunami coming in from my left side.  I could see how the people were drowning, running for their lives, the shouts and absolute chaos, coming with a great force.  Then on my right side I saw another tsunami coming in as well.  So we have the east and west coast so to speak.  As I saw this, my friend was standing next to me.  Remember I said the virgins are the friends.  My friend was dressed in white and highly pregnant.  Her name in real life means “Noble friend”.  The interesting part of this is that at the time when I received this dream, her husband has passed away about a year ago before the dream.  He was standing next to us.  His name is Alex and his name means ‘Kinsman Redeemer”.  Here am I having to prepare and help my noble friend, the virgin that is highly pregnant, her husband is there as the Kinsman Redeemer.  I looked to them and said, “We need to get out of here!”  He then took out a compass and we start to run.  He tells us exactly where we need to go. This talks about the dependency in this time we need to have on Him.  We were going north, running up a hill.  But my friend found this very difficult, being pregnant.  I had to be with her, encouraging her, carrying her and moving her along up this very steep hill. When we go to the top there was already a place prepared for us.  This is a reference to John 14 where Yeshua says that He will return and take us to a place already prepared for us.  This place was full of bunk beds with people were already there sheltered.  The bunk beds speak of entering into His rest.  Alex turned to me saying that he is going down again, because there is more people he needs to help.  This dream is the same as Revelation 12 where we read of the woman “Virgo” that is pregnant with the man-child.  She is a virgin that is pregnant.  We have to remember that the virgins must produce as well. Another scripture that sheds light on this is in John 16.

JOHN 16

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

Of sin, because they believe not on me;

10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. (In other words, “You will have the same understanding and provision I had when I was here fully dependent upon the Spirit and allowed Him to live through Me.  In the same way He will be a provision to you and work through you.”)

20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. (Remember the virgins follow the Queen into the King’s palace with rejoicing in Psalm 45.)

21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. (This correlates with the Revelation 12 sign, the virgin that brings forth the man-child.)

Also the Queen of Sheba being a Sabean from South Arabia, were descendants of Noah.  This is very interesting.  We find that after the flood (think of the tsunamis in my dream), he sends a dove and a raven at the same time out in Genesis 8.  The dove represents the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit or wisdom is referred to as Sophia and wisdom is always referred to as a woman.  We know that the Queen of Sheba or the south is a descendent of Noah.  She rises up, just like the Holy Spirit will come to bring judgment.  The raven is a type and shadow of the anti-Christ.  They are considered unclean birds.  The word raven in the Strong’s Concordance is pronounced Arab.  This is a time of judgment where both the Spirit of wisdom and revelation by the Holy Spirit and the raven, the spirit of the anti-Christ, as well as the actual anti-Christ will go out at the same time.  Both are for judgment.

SONG OF SOLOMON 6

My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies. (Remember, the Queen is the garden.)

I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

Thou art beautiful, O my love, as Tirzah, comely as Jerusalem, terrible as an army with banners. (This is a reference to the Queen of the south standing next to Him in militancy and authority.)

He comes to the bed of SPICES.  In a garden we find flowerbeds.  We know that spices need to be crushed.  Queen of the South or Sheba brought spices, incense and gold from out of identification with His suffering.

The word “feed” means to pasture, shepherd, nurture and guide both the Queen and the lilies.

Also we read that Psalm 45 was written to Shoshanim and the word LILIES means Shoshanim.  Here I thought of the Lily of the Valley.  I wanted to know what kind of lilies were in this garden.  It turns out that nobody is exactly sure what kind of lilies it were.  However, the bottom line is that there is such a great variety of lilies in the lily-family that it makes perfect sense to me.  This is because they come from all over the world.  It speaks of every tongue and tribe or nation, the variety of His lilies.  The scientific name of the Lily of the Valley is Apollonaris.  This is interesting, because I mention in my devotional, The eternal weight of glory” that at the beginning two armies will be sent out.  The one of Apollo, which means destruction and the other Apollos, which means zeal and he was highly regarded and close to Paul.  So this is showing us that the virgins will be sent out, the lilies of the valley.  Shoshanim means musical instrument, joy, gladness, rejoice, trumpet, bells.  This is a reference to the maidens or virgins are brought into the King’s palace with joy and gladness…the lilies He gathers.  They are like trumpets and the Lily of the Valley also looks like little bells.

In verse 4 says she is as beautiful as TIRZAH.  This word means delight.  He tells her that she is comely as Jerusalem.  This word comely is from H5000 and it means fitting or seemly, from H5116 that means to abode, of shepherds or flocks, dwelling, home of God.  He has made His home in her, and feeds there.  He rules and reign from the Jerusalem of her heart.

Then He tells her that she is TERRIBLE as an army of banners.  This comes from H366 and it means dreadful and frightful, formidable – SHE IS A SIGHT TO BEHOLD, NOT JUST IN BEAUTY, BUT IN AUTHORITY AND POWER.  THE KING OF GLORY HAS ENTERED IN…STRONG AND MIGHT TO DO BATTLE which we read about in Psalm 24.  He tells her to lift up her head and her gates so that He may enter in.  He enters in to do battle.  When He says that she is this fierce terrible army of banners, He is saying that He sees the King of Glory in her.  Halleluyah!

Father further confirmed this message to me in a beautiful way.  My friend sent me a picture of a plant that confirms the Queen, the virgins and the children.  This plant is called “Mother of Thousands”. I have this plant as well.  It was a confirmation that He sent me after I asked for spiritual children.  It was a desire that I believe He placed in my heart.  I was praying for these children saying, “Lord, I do not want only a few, but I want thousands.”  And not long after that someone gave me this plant called Mother of Thousands.  However, I was not aware that it also bore a particular flower.  This plant has big leaves and on the edge of these leaves are very tiny baby “mothers of thousands”.  They look like studs or gems.  Out of this plant a long stem comes with the most beautiful flowers come that looks like bells or trumpets.  Remember the lilies mean trumpets or musical instruments and they are given a song to sing.  Father was showing me how in nature it speaks of the New Jerusalem that constitute the Queen, the virgins and the children.

GALATIANS 4

26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

As I mentioned, this formidable woman, this Queen on His right hand, the south, also means erect, deputy, officer and establish, but also a pillar.  She is standing as a pillar next to Him.  Solomon when he built the temple also had two pillars built.

1 KINGS 7

16 And he made two chapiters of molten brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars: the height of the one chapiter was five cubits, and the height of the other chapiter was five cubits: (These chapiters look almost like bowls or vials.)

17 And nets of checker work, and wreaths of chain work, for the chapiters which were upon the top of the pillars; seven for the one chapiter, and seven for the other chapiter. (Also, the “wrought garment” of the Queen is chequered.)

18 And he made the pillars, and two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the chapiters that were upon the top, with pomegranates: and so did he for the other chapiter. (The pomegranates are almost like the Mother of Thousand’s babies on the leaves. The pomegranates also speak of priesthood.)

19 And the chapiters that were upon the top of the pillars were of lily work in the porch, four cubits.

20 And the chapiters upon the two pillars had pomegranates also above, over against the belly which was by the network: and the pomegranates were two hundred in rows round about upon the other chapiter.

21 And he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz.

22 And upon the top of the pillars was lily work: so was the work of the pillars finished.

Here we find the chequered work of her wrought dress, we find the lilies, the pomegranates and that it is a pillar.  Exactly what we read in Psalm 45.

Interesting is that these two pillars were placed on the porch.  The PORCH is seen as a sea.  This is connected again to the Sea of Galilee.  In 1 Kings 7: 7 he made a porch for the throne to stand upon.  We know that the firmament is as the glassy sea and the sea below would be the Sea of Galilee.  A sea above and a sea below.  When the Lord started speaking to me about pillars He showed me in a dream a pillar set on a foundation and a roof slowly moving in position above it.  Just like the sea above and below.   A sea is also a type and shadow of a multitude of people.
Where we read that the beast comes out of the sea in the book of Revelation, it means that it comes out form amongst mankind.  Let’s go to Proverbs 8 where it speaks of wisdom being beside him and to also remember that wisdom is portrayed as a woman in scripture.   Wisdom also the Holy Spirit that connects to the Bride who walks by the Spirit.

PROVERVS 8

30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

In Psalm 45 he says that when she leaves all behind that it is then that the King shall delight in her.  She is His delight.  Rejoicing connecting the signing as well.  The description in my Bible explains this being beside him as being a master workman, architect, next to Him, His delight like Tirzah is a delight. Standing next to Him as His Queen, a master workman preparing the Bride, building the Kingdom.

Whenever we see pillars, because they have to be erected or established and have to endure, they serve as a witness to resurrection life.  The Jachin pillar means “He is my strength” and Boaz means “He will establish”.  The woman is barren and she has to a place of impotence, complete death to be raised up into resurrection life, so that He alone is her strength and will establish her. In John 15 Yeshua tells his disciples, “You are my witnesses”, and the word “witness” means martyr.  Martyrs are people who lay their lives down, just like the Church of Smyrna and all those who will lay their lives down.  Not just physically, but also spiritually.  They are His friends, the virgins that follow the Lamb.  In order to be raised up you have to die in the ground, of which the Jordan River is a type and shadow.  He wants us to come to a complete death in ourselves, having left all behind to follow Him, as discussed in my previous devotional, Crossing Over, so that He may be that life in you.  He is your strength that establishes you as a pillar.

LUKE 5

1And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, (The Sea of Galilee)

And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. (Think of the chequered work of her garments that is like a net)

And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's (Peter), and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. (Who is teaching out of this ship?  He is.  He entered into the ship and is teaching now.)

Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. (He is saying, “Listen, we have been here the whole night.  We know this sea very well and we have done this for years.  We know there is nothing.  We cannot do this anymore, we have worked all the night.”  Peter then walks then by faith at His word)

And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes (Revelation 7 – a great multitude, the great wheat harvest): and their net brake.

And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink. (Who are the other ship?  They are the other workers that need to come and help.)

When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:

10 And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

11 And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.

There are many different pillars in the Word of God or should I say two witnesses.  Our understanding of the two witnesses is always with regard to the Trumpet period of the Great Tribulation.  However, I want us to see that there are more witnesses as well.

DIFFERENT 2 PILLARS IN THE WORD:

1.      2 ships on the Sea of Galilee.  When we think of the first miracle done with regard to a great multitude, it is that of the five loaves and the two fishes.  The five loaves and two fishes represent the TWO CHURCHES OUT OF THE 7 CHURCHES in the book of Revelation. Two of these 7 churches were spoken well of, Smyrna and Philadelphia who are evangelists.  Evangelists are fishers of men.  The first ship He entered into is the Church of Smyrna and the second ship, who comes in later to help to bring in the harvest is the Church of Philadelphia.

2.      2 Pillars during the wilderness, representing the seals period of the tribulation, the wilderness.  The fiery pillar by night and a cloud by day.  I would like to liken this to the Queen with her virgins during the Seals period.  The Queen of the south and the men of Nineveh guiding the people to prepare them for the King or Canaan.

3.      2 pillars or 2 witnesses during the Trumpets period of the tribulation that we know as the two olive branches.

4.      2 pillars on the porch of Solomon’s temple that is a description of the Bride and the Bridegroom standing as witnesses both of the resurrection life.  I only say this because of how similar their description is in Psalm 45 as pillars next to each other.

5.      The 2 pillars of the Queen of Sheba or the south with the men of Ninevah, representing the Bride with her virgins / workers.

6.      The two pillars of the Lamb with the 144 000 virgins that follow Him wheresoever HE goeth.

We now have an understanding of the Queen of the south with regard to her stature in authority, royalty and priesthood.  She is a mother unto many.  We know that the Lord raises up MOTHERS AND FATHERS OF THE FAITH to produce children.

GALATIANS 2 (Remember we just read of James and John that helped Peter on the Sea of Galilee)

And when James, Cephas (Peter), and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

Another example of a mother in the Word of God is Deborah.  We read about her in the book of Judges.  She judged Israel at that time.  We see the connection with the Queen of the south rising up to judge.  Deborah is a prophetess and Jonas is a prophet.  The Queen of the south is raised up with Jonas at that time.  The church is an apostolic and prophetic entity in this world to call people to repentance, to warn of destruction and judgment.

JUDGES 4

And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.

And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment. (The children came to her because they needed wisdom.  The palm tree in Jewish folklore speaks of her being impartial and openness.  The Word says in James 1 that when we lack wisdom we must come and ask by faith and that He will give wisdom liberally and without partiality.  She is sitting under a tree, without partiality, meaning anybody can come ask for wisdom, king or pauper, to receive judgment or wisdom.)

JUDGES 5

The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.

1.      She operates from a place of authority to judge

2.      Without partiality

3.      Prophetess

4.      Teacher

5.      Singer

6.      Writer

7.      Warrior

8.      Mother

9.      Children

10.  They went to her for judgment or wisdom

11.  Likened unto the Queen of the south

The name DEBORAH means “BEE” from H1696.  This is to speak, declare, govern, put to flight – militant.  What do we know about bees?

1.      They pollinates flowers (lilies) to bring forth.

2.      They produce honey.  Honey speaks of wisdom and revelation.  We read of the account in 1 Samuel where Saul’s son, Jonathan, did not know that he was not allowed to eat anything during a certain time of war, which his father declared.  It says that when he ate the honey, his eyes were enlightened or opened up.  Paul prays that the eyes of your understanding be opened or the veil of our understanding be lifted that we may receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation.  Wisdom is prudence, which is the ability to know how to apply understanding and knowledge.  Saying this obviously in a simplistic way.

3.      A bee stings and fights to the end. They die after they sting something, meaning they lay their life down to protect their friends, no matter how big the enemy.

I woke up at 5:47 the other day and it means:

·         PILLAR – Aman – confirm, support, establish, trustworthy, nourish, foster father and mother to nurse.

·         Of a horse when the trumpet sounds…Horses run into battle, fearless and fierce, to build up.  This means that they stand still and resolute in battle.

·         To go to the right hand (Queen is at His right hand)…we are raised up in Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6)

PROVERBS 9

1Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars: (People are not sure what these pillars refer to, but I believe they represent the 7 churches spoken of in the book of Revelations.)

She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.

She hath sent forth her maidens (The virgins): she crieth upon the highest places of the city,

Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,

Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.

Let’s go to the making of pillars.  What does all this knowledge mean unless we can apply it to ourselves?  Not long ago, I was sitting in my prayer room, talking to Father and felt as if I was highly pregnant in the spirit.  I cannot explain it and maybe some people will not understand it, a burden in the spirit.  At that moment my husband sent me a picture.  The Lord God uses him often to speak to me, without him even knowing it.  This picture was about Petra, in the Jordan under the Milky Way.  This picture loaded with prophetic implication.  First of all, my name is Pietra that comes from Petra, related to Peter.  The city PETRA IN the JORDAN, under the Milky Way.  The Jordan is next to Araba and is known for their trading in spices, gold and perfume.  Just like the Queen of Sheba.  The Jordan speaks of:

1.      Crossing over into Canaan – the land of milk and honey

2.      The Jordan River, which means to “go down” speaks of death into resurrection life

3.      And in the Jordan River were stones erected. Joshua told the twelve tribes to each get a stone and place it in the Jordan as a witness to their children’s children of what the Lord has done by causing them to pass over the Jordan.  I have seen a documentary of these stones, and they are huge and look like pillars.  Pillars are witnesses the resurrection life.

PETRA is a city in Jordan.  It is completely made of stone and is built in a mountain, as the Church is built upon the Rock.

1.      Peter means stone or rock

2.      Petra is a city in Jordan, built in a Rock, massive pillars

The MILKY WAY is stars.  A promise to Abraham was that his children will be as many as the stars…children of faith.  When we walk in faith, we are the children of Abraham.

Milk speaks of nursing as well, which connects the Church or a mother of thousands.

WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT PILLARS?

1.      They stand alone (Kings and Queens are not buddy-buddy with everybody.  Not because they do not love people or think they are better, but the saying “It is lonely at the top” is true, because of their responsibilities.  They look after the virgins and the children and do not get to do everything they want to or that others get to do.  They live lonely lives.

2.      A pillar is made out of dust or sand.  They have to be grinded first, be made as ashes or dust, hewn.  Wisdom hewn her pillars.

3.      Samson was standing between 2 pillars when he brought down the whole structure came down. They were supporting the whole structure.  The lilies are on top of the pillars.

4.      Pillars stand for endurance, burden bearers, they intercede under His yoke with Him.

5.      Pillars to society are mentors, teachers, setting an authentic standard, a moral standard.

This made me think of “PETRIFICATION”.  When someone is petrified they are scared, but petrification is that of being made solid, established and made a stone.

Petrification is the natural process whereby organic material is transformed by the minerals found in water or mud like iron and copper, causing the cellular structure to crystalize and become like stone, producing different colors in these petrified objects, like trees and plants.  Petrified trees are pillars.  We become like the Rock when we go through the sanctification process, we become like Christ.  He is in us and we are in Him.

Right at the beginning reading in LUKE 11: 30 – 32 about Jonah and the Queen of the south being pillars and that they are coming to judge. Jonas and the Queen, like Deborah, is coming in a prophetic capacity.  Let’s go to Jeremiah 1 and his call as a prophet.

JEREMIAH 1

15 For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the Lord; and they shall come, and they shall set everyone his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah. (This is speaking of the judgment on Jerusalem)

16 And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.

17 Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them (This “speak” is exactly the same as the “speak” of Deborah’s name meaning, which is a “bee”) all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them.

18 For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.

19 And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the Lord, to deliver thee.

In the Song of Solomon we read that her neck and her breasts are compared to towers.  Her neck is a tower and her breasts are towers.  A tower in itself serves as a pillar, also a fortress.  She is a fortress and terrible like an army of banners.  Just like we read in Isaiah 54 where He tells her that no weapon formed against her will prosper and that every tongue rising up against her, she will condemn.  They will not be able to touch her.

·         Speak is the same as Deborah’s bee sting

·         Brazen = copper and iron = petrification process where the mud has copper and iron in

·         Defensed city or fortress.  She is impenetrable.

Why does she need to be such a defensed city?  Because they will attack her.  She is guaranteed of this.  This made me think of Job’s wife who became a pillar of salt.  There will be those who cannot handle what is said to them and keep on looking back to this world or what was.  They do not grow spiritually and are bitter in their heart.  Not willing to pay the price and do not believe that He would require of us so much.

Then there are those disciples we read about in John 6:66 that when Yeshua spoke about eating his flesh and drinking his blood, could not handle it, and the Word says they turned around and no longer followed Him.  They were his disciples.  He then turned to the twelve disciples and asked them, “Will you now also leave Me.”  Peter said, “Lord, who else can we go to?  Who else has the words of life?”  And Yeshua said, “Upon this truth, will my Church be built and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.”

Stones has the direct connection with it judgment. Yeshua mentions that it would be better if a millstone was placed around someone’s neck who hurts the least of these little ones.  We also having stoning in the Old Testament and Joshua ordered the tribe’s leaders to stone the whole family who took one of the idols of Ai and hid it within their tent.  In the New Testament we read of Stephen who was stoned.  Also the woman caught in adultery where the Pharisees wanted to stone her.  Stoning is judgment.  This is why the Queen of the south rising up in judgment is a pillar.  She is coming as a judgment with Jonas.  Yeshua writes on the ground and forgives her.  The Gentile Bride no  longer walks by the dictates of the flesh, but are controlled by the Spirit (Romans 8:1).  Those who are in the Spirit, the Spirit that will be given us to teach us in all things, so that we will convict them of sin, righteousness and judgment.  Who is able to speak judgment over this generation?  David said, “Lord, judge me.”  Unless you are able for the Lord God to bring you to dust, Ophir, find crushed dust or ashes, in all your categories, He cannot raise you up as a pillar to speak that judgment.  He will still continue His work in you during tribulation if you are not ready yet, but He needs to bring you to that place where you are impotent and barren and He can be that life in you.  So shall your speaking be the judgment by the Spirit of God through you.  It will then constitute judgment that will be an event and have an effect.  Many can speak judgment and nothing happens.  But when the Spirit of God is in you, that ship He enters that many people will come to repentance, a great multitude.

Let’s go to Ezekiel 2 where the Son of Man has to speak this judgment.  This is a type and shadow of Yeshua who is the Son of Man.  It refers to honey and we know now that honey refers to wisdom.  We know it is the Spirit of God that gives us wisdom, but how does He do it?

EZEKIEL 2

But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;

10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

EZEKIEL 3

1 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel. (Eat lamentations, mourning and woe)

So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.

And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.

The lamentations, mourning and woe, which speaks of suffering, that suffering or crushing that brings forth the scent of the spices, has to become part of his life in order to become a pillar to speak that judgment.  It had to be consumed, into his belly, gut, his bowels.  The bowels speaks of the seat of emotions, the yearning.  He had to become one and identify with lamentations, mourning and woe.  Who is sufficient for this?  There are many people that say, “I want to be a pillar!  I want the Lord to use me so mightily.  I wish I can be like that person. I wish He can speak to me like that!”  In scripture David asks that he compensates him to the same degree that he has suffered.  He takes us through many things in order to develop in us a listening ear, giving us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation.  It is wonderful to have all these things, but it comes with lamentations, mourning and woe, so that when you speak that word of judgment and condemnation, it is because you yourself have been judged and brought to dust.  It is authentic when you speak then, because you have been brought to naught.

Please listen to how He looks at this Queen.

SONG OF SOLOMON 7

1How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter! The joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman.

Thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor: thy belly is like an heap of wheat set about with lilies.

SONG OF SOLOMON 4

1Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes within thy locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats that appear from mount Gilead.

Thy teeth are like a flock of sheep that are even shorn, which came up from the washing; whereof every one bear twins, and none is barren among them.

Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet, and thy speech is comely: thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks.

Thy neck is like the tower of David builded for an armoury, whereon there hang a thousand bucklers, all shields of mighty men.

Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the lilies.

Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense.

Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.

Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards.

Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck.

10 How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices!

11 Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon.

I finish with a word He gave me on the 22/2/21

ARE YOU WILLING

Are you willing for Me to devastate you, even as I did with Job?  In righteousness you now stand, but are you willing to fall down to the ground?  Down in ashes?

Are you willing for Me to strip you bare of all things and consume you with fire?  For any self-preservation will cause you to cry out for help, but I will be silent.  I will speak no more.  For you have to become silent yourself.  You have to become still and know that I am God.  And as God I choose how I will form My vessels of glory. If I beat you to dust, it is My will.  If I burn you to ashes, it is My will.  For unless you are willing for My will, whatever it may be, without any limitations, how are you choosing My will above yours?

At the ultimate extremity, to the point of shedding blood, My Son’s cry was “Not my will, but Your will be done.”

There can be no limitations.  There can be no degrees.  All is Mine, even your very life.

And if you hold onto that life, you will surely lose it.  But, if you are willing to lay it down, I will not only give you life eternal, but RESURRECTION LIFE, now.

From out of you I will be your life.

No longer you living, but I.

Count the cost.  Sit down and count it.  Be still and think of what I am asking.  For I will not take your life, even if I can.  You are My friends and I am yours.

Will you lay it down?

Whose will do you choose?

Mine or yours?

Are you willing to lay it down?
